  • 10+ years in the clinical mental health field working with children and families with a significant history of complex trauma. I have extensive experience mitigating risk of harm and de-escalating high crisis situations at a systemic level. With my focus being systemic trauma, I specialize in complex trauma; where we understand that trauma doesn’t only occur in the context of relationships, abuse(s) of power moves within structures.With an array of roles and titles, I consistently worked as part of an interdisciplinary team and ultimately provided; 

    • individual, group, and family therapy 

    • case management, crisis intervention, liaison and advocacy with collateral agencies; schools, social services agencies, court appointed officials, etc.

    • teaching/facilitating/supporting families develop the skills needed to navigate the child welfare and social service system

    • training, workshops, and consulting with collateral support & campus staff

    • developing and overseeing teen groups, programs, youth power initiatives, etc.

    • Shedding light on the effects of youth violence to elevate transformation and mitigate risk within community based settings through public awareness, prevention, intervention and prioritizing youth leadership.
