Dismantling White Supremacy Culture in Your Practice
Nervous System Regulation
Trauma-Informed
Narcissism
are buzzwords that are plaguing professional and social spaces. By using these phrases without the proper accreditations, experience, and education, you are exploiting those who have experienced trauma and the traumatic event in itself.

“Thus, for any organization to become truly trauma-informed it must work to Dismantle Racism along with the White Supremacy Culture that holds racism in place.”

Which is why i’m here
I’m not here to encourage a culture that perpetuates harm.
Why create an Anti-Oppressive Practice from the Inside Out?
-
① Trauma-Informed Strategies for Social Change
By implementing a trauma focused approach, social impact leaders are addressing the intersections of trauma within culture, history, race, gender, location, and language, etc.
-
② Tools for Equity and Responsiveness
Professionals acknowledge the compounding impact of structural inequity which exists within and under systems of power. In addition, they are provided tools and skill sets that allow them to appropriately responsed to the needs of diverse communities.
-
③ The Science Behind Connection
Trauma is relational, not behavioral. This idea that a trauma response will respond to consequences or punishment is not only outdated, it’s scientifically incorrect.
-
④ Actively Dismantle Oppressive Systemic Cycles
Until we make profound shifts in the ways we, as a collective, work together to relate and connect, we will continue to see cycles of abuse at a macro and micro level.
-
⑤ Fostering Agency & Authenticity
The pandemic forced us out of “traditional” workplaces which has continued to bring to light what it means to have a healthy work environment. Employees now, more than ever, expect a corporate culture where they can bring their whole selves to work and experience physical and psychological safety.

As humans, we tend to over complicate problems by responding with maladaptive coping strategies and creating power struggles. This tendency is mirrored in global structures, institutions, cultures, and systems, leading to an inability to find and implement effective solutions that benefit all players involved. When we fail to come to a solution, our system and the people within remain trapped in a state of survival.
It’s completely expected for groups to ebb and flow out of functional states. Unfortunately, we’ve been taught to “leave our problems at the door” or that we “look prettier when we smile” which creates a power dynamic within itself. Luckily for you, crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and mediation is my jam.
Are you experiencing escalation or full blown crisis in your team or organization and need assistance coming to a resolution? I’m your girl!
Is a client (or clients) headed towards or in crisis and you’re struggling to navigate it? I’m your girl!
Are you, yourself headed towards crisis or already feel like you’re drowning in it? I’m your girl!

“I appreciate the certification for being there when I had my first spiritual awakening and I was clueless but I always thought it was missing the trauma aspect. Because I then saw so many of the coaches go on to address it without any training. There’s a big difference between witnessing someone in their trauma and giving them resources compared to coaching trauma and claiming it healed clients. As much as I love the spiritual coaching industry, I think there’s a big portion of coaches putting band-aids on trauma and causing more harm because it’s the “trendy” thing to do.
All that to say you’ve made such an impact on my perspective around trauma from the very beginning.

“I bartended a party today. A little boy was autistic and wanted to get away. The parents were overwhelmed. I took him in the corner and made him a tent out of table cloths so he had a safe space.
They go to leave, I'm cleaning and I hear “no no no.” The little boy ran behind the bar and hugged my leg so hard I picked him up. His mother said, “omg he doesn’t go to anyone especially guys not even his dad.”
The whole family was amazed but I only did what I learned from you; remove them from the stress and let them be themselves.”

“I had the chance to meet up with Corrine for a conversation around trauma and how to best handle it when it comes up in coaching sessions–while not being certified as a therapist. Corrine’s deep compassion, caring, and passion laid a supportive foundation for understanding and allowed me to come back to my tools and self confidence. When we ended our conversation, I felt empowered and at peace. With so much more clarity, thanks to Corrine’s loving guidance and active listening. So grateful for this shared moment.”
